Vienna- and Cambridge-based Ketryx closed a $39 million Series B funding round led by Transformation Capital, bringing its total capital raised to over $55 million. The startup’s platform is designed to help life sciences companies streamline compliance by reducing documentation time by up to 90% and accelerating product release cycles by more than 10 times, addressing a persistent bottleneck in highly regulated sectors.
The funding will support the expansion of Ketryx’s Vienna operations, accelerate hiring in both Austria and Boston, and advance the company’s product roadmap. The round also attracted investment from Bill Hawkins, former CEO of Medtronic, alongside existing investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, MIT’s E14 Fund, Ubiquity Ventures, and 53 Stations.
Founded by CEO Erez Kaminski, who has a background at the intersection of AI and biotech, and CTO Jan Pöschko, an expert in cloud infrastructure and developer tools, Ketryx strikes a delicate balance between maintaining stringent safety standards and accelerating product innovation.
Kaminski noted, “I’ve spent the last decade at the intersection of AI and life sciences, watching it evolve from an emerging tool to a critical application for patients. It’s now time to accelerate adoption and ensure AI is safe, reliable, and ready for regulated environments.”
Ketryx’s technology features AI-driven compliance agents that automate regulatory documentation and enable traceability across the entire product lifecycle. The platform integrates with existing enterprise tools such as Jira and GitHub, allowing companies to maintain velocity in innovation without sacrificing compliance oversight.
Its roster includes three of the top five global medtech companies, Fortune 500 firms, and AI-focused enterprises like DeepHealth, HeartFlow, and Aignostics.
Pöschko concludes, “In life sciences, teams are under constant pressure to innovate faster, yet compliance has historically slowed that progress; and the rise of AI only heightens both this opportunity and the challenge.
Ketryx resolves this tension by embedding compliance directly into the development lifecycle, so safety and speed no longer compete. With this new funding, we’re scaling our AI-native platform to help our customers deliver high-quality products at the pace of technology innovation.”
