Certainly launched its newest Labor Market Replace, which took a have a look at junior versus senior roles in current job postings. The large takeaway: Senior roles are extra dominant in tech.
Employers need specialised expertise, and alternatives marketed particularly to rookies have been scarce currently.
Some highlights beneath:
- Within the tech and engineering, senior-level roles dominate. As of August, fewer than 2% of postings in these fields had been for junior roles.
- Software development roles: 30.7% promote senior titles, whereas 2% promote junior titles.
- Information & Analytics: 24.2% promote senior titles; 3.4% promote junior titles.
- IT Techniques/Options: 23.6% promote senior titles; 2.8% promote junior titles.
